Institutionalizing coffee collection and processing is one of the most important interventions for empowering producers’ groups. To institutionalize collection, Beautiful Coffee Nepal (BeaCoN) provides various technical supports including trainings to the cooperatives and their members for increasing their shareholder members and increasing production by improving productivity and the number of coffee plants per farmer/household. BeautifulCoffee Korea provides interest free advance payment (60 to 75 percent of the value of coffee to be exported) to CCU for fresh cherry collection from the farmers. BeaCoN distributes various equipment to pulping centers for making fresh cherry processing easier. BeaCoN also supported construction of eight pulping centers at the village level. For marketing system, BeaCoN supports to improve quality and develop own brand through distribution of machine like coffee roaster and introduce it to domestic market through marketing platform.
